Our Toddler Program

Young Toddlers, Ages 12months to 18 months

Our toddlers are building on the skills they learned previously. At this age, children start drinking out of cups, get better at using utensils, and are learning how to express themselves. Language development and social skills are developing at a rapid pace in this room. We teach children character development and read stories that assist with language development.

The Learning Without Tears curriculum is officially started in this room. Learn more about Learning Without Tears here. Children start to learn colors, letters, numbers, shapes and much more! You will be surprised by how your child’s language develops and how their knowledge will progress!

Older Toddlers, Ages 18 months - 24 months

At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, art, language development, and outdoor play, are the highlights of the day. At this age, they participate in Spanish language learning. The Learning Without Tears (LWT) curriculum is continued and expanded on with the use of LWT reading books alongside the fundamentals of colors, letters, & numbers, etc.

Lastly, we communicate daily through various methods including: daily reports, the Brightwheel App, emails, and in person to inform you about your child’s day.

Two's Program

It is at this age we start becoming more intentional in the learning process, through the full implementation of the Learning Without Tears curriculum. Learn more about Learning Without Tears here

Our Curriculum Specialist oversees the curriculum and instruction, providing teachers with leadership, support, and the resources necessary to correctly implement the curriculum. Our two year olds get prepped for our Preschool program by mastering the fundamental skills they will need for this next level. This includes being introduced to Mat Man, name recognition, fine motor skills, and mastery of basic concepts.

Another exciting thing that happens in this group is toilet potty training! We work together with parents to make potty training a positive experience. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop this skill through a trusting and loving relationship. We support their transition from pull ups to undies by having frequent trips to the bathroom throughout the day and by providing lots of cheering when they use the potty!

We provide lots of outdoor time, with children going out two times per day on our playground. Lesson plans are shared with you,so that you are aware of what your child is learning. We continue to communicate with families through daily reports, the Brightwheel App, emails, and in person interactions.
